Join us "Down the Rabbit Hole" for the 2025 73rd AIIAB Annual Convention & Tradeshow, this year's theme is Alice in Wonderland.  NEW THIS YEAR!!!  YOUNG/NEW INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS DAY!  A day focused on our young/new agents. 

The Convention is a great opportunity to broaden your education with a host of continuing education courses and meet with carrier and vendor partners.  Be curiouser and curiouser with directors & officers coverage, explore the world of professional liability, and make sense of equipment breakdown.  Heads will never roll when you practice ethics and E&O prevention.  And of course, enjoy a cup of tea with our main luncheon speaker, Paula Bradison, the CEO of People AK.



Time

NEW THIS YEAR - YOUNG/NEW INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS DAY!!  For new and young insurance professionals “mad” enough to join the insurance industry, a day will be a dedicated on connecting with other young professional and growth in your career.

Monday Oct. 13th - YOUNG/NEW INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS DAY

Noon: Young Agent Learn to Curl Event & Lunch

2:30PM:  E&O Prevention for Young Agents - 2 Hour CE class, Margaret Varlamos, Instructor

6:00-9:00 - Young Agents meet and greet at the Antique Auto Museum.  ( First hour dedicated to Young agents, board and invited sponsor guests, then open to membership for small fee to cover museum entrance fee)


Tuesday, Oct. 14th

8:30 am - Registration opens

9:00 am - E&O Prevention - 3 Hour CE class - Margaret Varlamos, Instructor

12:00pm - Lunch

2:00pm - General Membership Meeting - All general members encouraged to attend

6:00pm - KICK-Off Party (off site) Hosted by The Insurance Center - Costumes Encouraged!!  Transportation will be provided, Shuttle 1 departing hotel @ 5:15pm. Shuttle 2 departing at 5:45pm, Returning Shuttle 1 departing at 8PM and Shuttle # 2 Departing at 9:15pm. Please be prepared to Tip the shuttle driver!

10:30am - D&O Basics: Focus on HOA/COA's and Not-For-Profits Exposures - 1 Hour  CE Class - Presented By Mike Edmonds - CRC Specialty  & Surplus Lines Hearing (Separate Rooms)

11:30am- Lunch with Guest Speaker, Paula Bradison, CEO of PeopleAK

1:00pm - Employee Safety Program Best Practices - 2 Hour CE - Instructor Jason Lenius

12:15pm - Past Presidents lunch Featuring Department of Insurance Panel Discussion (Presented by Umialik Insurance)

1:30pm -  Property Valuations with Optional Coverages - 1 Hour CE Class - Presented by Kevin Vance with Umialik Insurance Company

2:30pm - General Membership meeting continuation - All General Members encourage to join us and vote on your 2026 Board members!

6:00pm - Final Banquet Bourbon Tasting and Cocktail Hour

7:00pm - Final Banquet formal portion and induction of the 2026 Board.
